The Marsh Marigold (Caltha palustris) is a perennial herbaceous plant in the Ranunculaceae family of buttercups.

It is common in the Northern Hemisphere in marshes, ditches, wet woodlands, and temperate regions.
It grows to 10-80 centimetres (4-30 inches) tall. It flowers between April and August.
