The Heavenly Bamboo (Nandina domestica) is an evergreen shrub in the Berberidaceae family. It is native to China and Japan.

Heavenly Bamboo grows to 1.5-2 metres (5-7 feet) tall. Its leaves are pinkish to light green, turning red in winter.

The shrub has pinkish-white flowers that cluster at the end of the branches from May to June. Red berries appear from September to January.
