Cast-Iron Plant (Aspidistra elatior) is a flowering evergreen perennial plant in the Asparagaceae family of rhizomatous plants. It is also known as the Bar-Room Plant.

It is native to Japan and Taiwan.

It grows to 60 centimetres (24 inches) tall and wide. Its glossy leaves are 30-50 centimetres (12-20 inches) long. It has fleshy, 8-lobed cream flowers with maroon on the inner surface. The flowers bloom in early summer.
