Large Witch Alder

The Large Witch Alder (Fothergilla major) is a deciduous flowering shrub in the Hamamelidaceae family of witch hazel plants. It is also known as the Mountain Witch Alder.

It is native to the United States of America.

It grows to 2.5 metres (8 feet) tall.

It has fragrant white bottlebrush flowers with narrow petals and glossy leaves. 

It blooms in spring.
