The Fuchsia-Flowered Gooseberry (Ribes speciosum) is a flowering deciduous shrub in the Grossulariaceae family of edible currants and gooseberries.

It is native to Mexico and California, America.

It has elongated red flowers that look like fuchsias, but it is not related to the fuchsia plant. 

The Fuchsia-Flowered Gooseberry blooms in the spring.
