The Trailing Abutilon (Abutilon megapotamicum) is a flowering shrub in the Malvaceae family. It is also known as the Flowering Maple, Parlour Maple, and Chinese Lantern Tree.

It is native to Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay in South America.

It grows to 2.5 metres (8 feet) tall. 

The flowers are orange-yellow with a red base, with five petals about 4 centimetres (2 inches) long. They resemble Chinese lanterns.

The Trailing Abutilon flowers from summer to early winter.
