The Oriental Poppy (Papaver orientale) is a perennial flower in the Papaveraceae family.

It is native to the Caucasus – Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan – as well as Turkey and Iran.
It has hairy leaves and brilliant orange-red flowers with a dark centre.
The Oriental Poppy blooms in mid-summer.
