The Columbine (Aquilegia olymica) is a flowering perennial berbaceous plant in the Ranunculaceae family of buttercups. It is also known as Granny’s Bonnet.

It is common across the Northern Hemisphere.
The Columbine has rhizomes, three-lobed leaves, and hermaphrodite flowers. The purple flowers have five sepals with up to 50 stamens in whorls of five.
The flowers bloom in spring.
