The Common Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius) is a flowering deciduous plant in the Rosaceae family of roses. It is also known as Lady in Red.

It is native to North America.
It is insect-resistant, disease-resistant, and drought-tolerant.
It grows to 100-300 metres (3-10 feet) tall and 100-200 metres (3-6 feet) wide.
The flowers are white to pinkish with five petals. The small fruit pods ripen from August to October. The bark peels off like paper and is in the shape of the number nine.
The Common Ninebark blooms from May to June.
