The Flaming Katy (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana) is a glabrous, perennial, herbaceous plant in the Crassulaceae family. It is also known as the Christmas Kalanchoe, the Florist Kalanchoe, and the Madagascar Widow’s-Thrill.

It is native to Madagascar.
It grows to 30-45 centimetres (12-18 inches) tall and 10-50 centimetres (4-20 inches) wide.
It has green, shiny, scalloped-shaped leaves all year round. Each flower has four petals and can be a variety of colours, such as dark red, pink, orange, gold, and white.
The Flaming Katy blooms in late autumn to early winter.
