The Red Valerian (Centranthus ruber) is a flowering perennial plant in the Caprifoliaceae family of honeysuckles. It is also known as the Spur Valerian, Fox’s Brush, Jupiter’s Beard, and Kiss-Me-Quick.

It is native to the Mediterranean region.
The leaves are 5-8 centimetres (2-3 inches) in length. Its flowers are small in rounded clusters with five fused petals. The Red Valerian flower is red, purplish-red, pale pink, or lavender.
It blooms in early summer.
