The Bog Bulrush (Schoenoplectus mucronatus) is a flowering perennial rhizomatous plant in the Cyperaceae family of sedge plants. It is also known as the Rough-Seed Bulrush and Ricefield Bulrush.

It is native to Eurasia, Africa, and Australia.

It has a three-angled stem with dense clumps. It can grow to 100 centimetres (39 inches) tall. The leaves form sheaths wrapped around the stem. 

The inflorescence is a cluster of cone-shaped spikelets.
