Common Sage (Salvia officinalis) is a perennial, evergreen, shrub in the Lamiaceae family. 

It is native to the Mediterranean region, especially in Spain and Greece. 

It grows to about 60 centimetres (24 inches) tall. It has variable leaves about 6.5 centimetres (2.5 inches) long.

The Common Sage has lavender flowers, although they can also be white, pink, or purple.
