The Garden Cosmos (Cosmos bipinnatus) is a flowering herbaceous annual plant in the Asteraceae family. It is also known as the Mexican Aster.

It is native to the Americas. 

The Garden Cosmos grows to about 61-183 centimetres (24-72 inches) tall. 

It is a spindly plant with flowers 5-7 centimetres (2-3 inches) in diameter. The flowers have mostly 8 ray florets. The flowers can be pink, purple, or white.
