The Chinese Quince (Chaenomeles cathayensis) is a flowering deciduous shrub in the Rosaceae family of roses. 

It is native to Asia, in countries such as China, Bhutan, and Myanmar.

It grows to 6 metres (20 feet) tall. 

Its leaves are pointed. It has pink or white bell-shaped flowers about 4 centimetres (1.5 inches) wide.

The fruit is a yellow quince about 6-7 centimetres (2.5 inches) wide.
