The Dahlia Yellow Star is a tuberous, herbaceous, perennial flowering plant in the Asteraceae family.

It grows to 120 centimetres (48 inches) tall.
The Dahlia Yellow Star has light-yellow to bright-yellow flowers fading slightly in colour towards the tips.
The flowers are about 15 centimetres (6 inches) in diameter.
It blooms for months, from early summer to mid-autumn.
