The Winter Heliotrope (Petasites pyrenaicus) is a perennial flowering rhizomous plant in the Asteraceae family.

It is native to the Mediterranean region and Europe.

It grows from a rhizome to a stem height of 25 centimetres (10 inches). 

The leaves are large and about 20 centimetres (8 inches) across.

The flowerheads had pinkish-mauve florets.

The Winter Heliotrope blooms from Decembber to March in the Northern Hemisphere.
