The Mexican Marigold (Tagetes erecta) is a flowering herbaceous plant in the Asteraceae family. It is also called the African Marigold even though it is not native to Africa. 

It is native to Mexico.

It grows to 30-110 centimetres (12-43 inches) tall.

The leaves are up to 20 centimetres (8 inches) long.

The flowers of the Mexican Marigold are yellow to orange.

It blooms in summer and autumn.
