The Saucer Magnolia (Magnolia x soulangeana) is an ancient, hybrid, spreading, deciduous flowering tree in the Magnoliaceae family.

It is a widely grown tree in Europe and the United States.
It grows to 5-15 metres (16-49 feet) tall.
The Saucer Magnolia has shiny, dark green, oval-shaped leaves.
The white, pink, or purple flowers are bowl-shaped or saucer-shaped. It has 9-15 tepals in three or more whorls. The flowers are 10-20 centimetres (4-8 inches) across.
The cone-like fruit appears in autumn.
It blooms early in spring.
