The Jewel Orchid (Ludisia discolor) is a flowering plant in the Orchidaceae family.
It is native to Asia, in countries such as China, India, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar.
It is terrestrial, growing on the forest floor.
The flower is velvety white with yellow columns, and with a deep maroon-brown colour and red veins that run parallel to the centre of the stalk. The flowers appear in clusters.
