The Tulipa ‘Queen of the Night’ is a flowering, bulbous, perennial plant in the Liliaceae family. It is a single late tulip.

It grows to 60-65 centimetres (24-26 inches) tall.
The flower is soft and velvety. It is considered to be the blackest tulip ever created. It is maroon or mahogany, but often appears black.
The flower is cup-shaped or goblet-shaped.
It flowers in late spring.
