The Beauty Bush (Kolkwitzia amabilis) is a flowering, deciduous shrub in the Caprifoliaceae family.
It is native to China.
It grows to about 240 centimetres (94 inches) tall.
It is an arching, spreading bush with light-brown flaky bark. It is usually as wide as it is tall.
The bell-shaped flowers of the Beauty Bush are light-pink with darker pink in the bud and an orange-yellow veined or webbed pattern in the centre of its five petals. They grow in pairs. They are about 2.5 centimetres (one inch) long.
Its fruit is a hairy, ovoid capsule.
It blooms in late spring.
