The Purple Mistress (Moricandia arvensis) is a flowering plant in the Brassicaceae family.

It grows to about 20-50 centimetres (8-20 inches) tall.

It is found in the Mediterranean region and northern Africa. 

It has light-green leaves about 5 centimetres (2 inches) long.

The Purple Mistress has purple flowers with four petals, which are about 3 centimetres (one inch) long. It generates 15-20 flowers on each stem.

It blooms for five months, from March to the end of July in the Northern Hemisphere.
