The Monk’s Rhubarb (Rumex patientia) is a perennial, herbaceous flowering plant in the Polygonaceae family. It is also called the Patience Dock, Garden Patience, and Herb Patience.

It is native to southern Europe. 

It grows to 2 metres (6 feet) tall. 

Its dark-green leaves are deeply lobed and turn red in autumn. 

The flowers have five white, pink or red flowers in a cluster on a long stem, up to 2 metres (6 feet) in length.

It blooms in spring.
