The Woad (Isatis tinctoria) is a flowering, herbaceous, biennial plant in the Brassicaceae family of mustard plants. It is also known as Dyer’s Woad and Glastum.

It is found in the Caucasus, Europe, Asia, and North America.
The leaves produce a blue dye.
The flowers are gathered in a racemose inflorescence with yellow petals.
