The Giant Honey Flower (Melianthus major) is a flowering, evergreen shrub in the Francoaceae family.

It is endemic to South Africa.

It grows to 2-3 metres (7-10 feet) tall and 1-3 metres (3-10 feet) wide.

It has blue-green leaves about 30-50 centimetres (12-20 inches) long. 

The flower spikes are dark-red, about 30-80 centimetres (12-31 inches) long.

The fruits are green pods.

The Giant Honey Flower blooms in spring.
