The Bigroot Geranium (Geranium macrorrhizum) is a flowering herbaceous, semi-evergreen, perennial plant in the Geraniaceae family. It is also known as the Bulgarian Geranium and Rock Crane’s-Bill.

It is native to the South-east Alps and the Balkans.

It is a mat-forming groundcover plant. It grows to 45 centimetres (18 inches) tall. 

The leaves have five rounded lobes and are toothed and sticky.

The flowers are pale pink to magenta, and about 3 centimetres (an inch) across.

The Bigroot Geranium blooms in summer.
