The Japanese Pagoda Tree (Styphnolobium japonicum) is a deciduous tree in the Fabaceae family of pea plants. It is also known as the Chinese Scholar Tree.

It is native to Asian countries, mainly China. 

It grows to 10-20 metres (33-66 feet) tall and wide. 

The Japanese Pagoda has white flowers. The flowers and leaves are sometimes used to make tea.

It blooms in late summer.
