The Padre’s Shooting Star (Dodecatheon clevelandii) is a flowering deciduous plant in the Primulaceae family of primroses.

It is native to California, America.

It has basal clumps of leaves up to 40 centimetres (16 inches) long. 

The flowers are magenta to deep lavender, and white. They are nodding flowers about 2.5 centimetres (an inch) long on stems that are up to 90 centimetres (12 inches) tall.
