The Leatherleaf Mahonia (Mahonia bealei or Berberis bealei) is a flowering evergreen shrub in the Berberidaceae family. It is also known as Beale’s Barberry and the Oregon Grape.

It is native to China.
The Leatherleaf Mahonia has irregular, upright stems. It grows to 8 metres (26 feet) tall.
The leaves are up to 50 centimetres (20 inches) long.
It has small, blue-black, grape-like fruit on a red-purple stem.
The flowers are lemon-yellow in a raceme up to 30 centimetres (12 inches) long.
It blooms in late winter.
