The Snow-in-Summer (Cerastium tomentosum) is a flowering, herbaceous, evergreen, perennial plant in the Caryophyllaceae family.

It is native to the alpine regions of Europe.

It is a low, spreading plant, growing to a height of 15-30 centimetres (6-12 inches) tall. 

The leaves and stems are silvery-grey and hairy. The leaves are about 3 centimetres (one inch) long.

The flowers are white and star-like, measuring about 1.5 centimetres (half an inch) in diameter. The inflorescences have up to 15 flowers. 

Snow-in-Summer blooms from May to July in the Northern Hemisphere.
