The Goldenrain Tree (Koelreuteria paniculata) is a flowering deciduous tree in the Sapindaceae family. It is also known as the China Tree, the Pride of India, and the Varnish Tree.

It is native to eastern Asia, in countries such as China, India, and Korea.
It is a small to medium tree growing to 7 metres (23 feet) tall.
The leaves are long, measuring 50 centimetres (20 inches) with 7-15 leaflets up to 8 centimetres (4 inches) long.
Its flowers are yellow panicles with four petals about 20-40 centimetres (8-16 inches) long.
The fruit is a three-part inflated bladder-like green pod about 6 centimetres (2 inches) long.
The Goldenrain Tree blooms in late summer.
