The Dahlia – ‘Sunshine’ (Dahlia sp.) is a flowering, perennial, herbaceous, tuberous plant in the Asteraceae family.

It is native to Central America and South America.
It grows to about 45-60 centimetres (18-24 inches) tall in a bushy shape with several stems. Its foliage is blackish.
The single golden-yellow flowers have orange centres. The flower is up to 15-20 centimetres (6-8 inches) wide. The eight petals on each flower are flat or slightly cupped.
The Dahlia – ‘Sunshine’ blooms from late summer to autumn.
