Lovage (Levisticum officinale) is a flowering perennial herb in the Apiaceae family.

It is common across Europe.
It grows to 180-250 centimetres (6-8 feet) tall.
The stems are erect with bright green leaves, which can be quite large, growing up to 70 centimetres (28 inches) long.
The flowers are yellow to greenish-yellow, 10-15 centimetres (4-6 inches) in diameter.
The fruit is a small schizocarp.
