The Beard Tongue (Penstemon kunthii) is a flowering herbaceous perennial plant in the Scrophulariaceae family.

It is native to Mexico.

Its foliage is mid-green and fine-leaved. It is a bushy plant about 60 centimetres (24 inches) tall and wide.

It has small, profuse, tubular red or garnet flowers on strong dark stems.

The Beard Tongue is constant and everblooming, even in winter.
