The Cherry Tomato – ‘Gardener’s Delight’ (Lycopersicon esculentum) is an annual flowering plant in the Solanaceae family of nightshades. Lycopersicon means ‘wolf peach.’

Its origins are not exactly known, but it is probably native to South America.
It is tall on a single stem, growing to 150 centimetres (59 inches) tall and 60 centimetres (24 inches) wide. The fruit is a small, round, red cherry tomato.
The flower is small and bright-yellow with six triangular or tear-drop petals.
The Cherry Tomato – ‘Gardener’s Delight’ blooms from July to September in the Northern Hemisphere.
