Essential Oils can be added to food, inhaled, or used directly on the skin  – they can also be added to cleaning products.

Pure-grade, ethical, natural, plant-based Essential Oils provide an environmentally-safe solution to cleaning dirt-covered gardening hands.

The following easy recipe for hand soap has three functions: exfoliating, cleansing, disinfecting, and moisturising.

Gardening Essential Oil Hand Soap recipe

Ingredients:

  • Half a cup of white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of liquid castile soap
  • 1 teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil
  • 7 drops of Clary Sage oil
  • 5 drops of Melaleuca (Tea Tree) oil

Instructions:

In a small bowl, add all ingredients and stir until smooth and combined. Pour into an air-tight container (preferably glass).

To use, take a handful of soap and scrub the dirt out of your hands. Afterwards, your hands will be clean, soft, disinfected, and exfoliated.

Note: I used brown sugar.
