Forsythia
The Forsythia (Forsythia x intermedia) is a hybrid, flowering, deciduous shrub in the Oleaceae family. It is also known as the Border Forsythia or Common Forsythia.

It is thought to be a hybrid between Forsythia viridissima and Forsythia suspensa var. fortunei.
It grows to 240-300 centimetres (8-10 feet) tall and 300-360 centimetres (10-12 feet) wide.
It forms a fountain-shaped, showy spray of upright and arching branches, bending to the ground.
The leaves are dark-green, up to 12 centimetres (5 inches) long, that turn yellowish or purplish in autumn.
The four-petaled flowers are brilliant yellow. They are solitary or in racemes from 2-6.
The Forsythia blooms in early to mid-spring.
