happy place: ADRIAN41062

I love those middle days of may
the garden blossoms with soulful ray,
tree fern croziers, sparkless Catherine wheels
the solitude and crashing water appeals,
banana plants with five foot leaves
stealing sunlight just like thieves,
paulownia dancing in the breeze
growing faster than any other trees.
Allium Mays most spherical joy’s
bees flower to flower buzz with noise,
mayfly hatching in waters edge
blues and greens of the pendulous sedge,
iris magic of crepe looking flowers
I can sit in this space for hours and hours,
miscanthus seems to grow a foot a day
a perfect sun block with a dancers sway.
Colocasia, pink china, fluorescent stalk
I daydream so much I could sleepwalk,
clematis profusely in a bed of white
jasmine stars perfume the night,
foxglove stand so high and proud
in the night sky plane so low, so loud,
evening chorus fades with the light
solar lights beam into the night.
