Pomegranate – ‘Flore Pleno’

The Pomegranate – ‘Flore Pleno’ (Punica granatum) is a flowering plant in the Lythraceae family (formerly the Punicaceae family). It is also known as the Flowering Pomegranate, Noshi Shibari, and Double Flower Pomegranate.
It does not produce the pomegranate fruit.
It is native to Persia. It is found in southern Europe, western Asia, and the Himalayan region.
It grows to 3 metres (10 feet) tall.
The flower is red and funnel-shaped with double blooms about 4.5 to 7 centimetres (2-3 inches) wide. It looks like a Carnation.
The Pomegranate – ‘Flore Pleno’ blooms in summer and autumn, from July to September in the Northern Hemisphere.
