Japanese Holly – ‘Kin Me’

The Japanese Holly – ‘Kin Me’ (Ilex crenata) is a flowering, evergreen plant in the Aquifoliaceae family.
It is native to Asia.
It is a shrub or small tree, growing to 3-5 metres (10-15 feet) tall, with a narrow trunk of about 20 centimetres (6 inches).
The leaves are dark-green and glossy, up to 3 centimetres (one inch) long. The fruit is a black drupe (stone fruit).
The four-lobed petals are small and white.
The Japanese Holly – ‘Kin Me’ is often grown as an ornamental plant for hedges and as a topiary tree (creating shapes and structures).
