African Daisy – ‘Acapulco’

The African Daisy – ‘Acapulco’ (Osteospermum – ‘Acapulco’) is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is also known as the Daisybush, South African Daisy, Cape Daisy, or Blue-Eyed Daisy.

It is native to southern and eastern Africa, as well as the Arabian Peninsula.

It has green or variegated leaves with small tooth-shaped edges

The flower has disc and ray florets in bright yellow, purple, or blue. It has an orange-brown circle in the disc. Some have a blue centre in the disc.

The African Daisy blooms in spring, and some bloom a second time in late summer.
