Manna Ash 

The Manna Ash (Fraxinus ornus) is a medium-sized, deciduous, flowering tree in the Oleaceae family. It is also known as the South European Flowering Ash.

It is native to southern Europe and southwestern Asia. 

It grows to 15-25 metres (49-82 feet) tall. Its trunk is up to 100 centimetres (39 inches) in diameter. 

The bark is smooth and dark-grey. The buds are pale pinkish-brown to grey-brown covered with short, grey hairs.

The green leaves are 20-30 centimetres (8-12 inches) long with 5-9 leaflets. They turn yellow to purplish in autumn. 

The flower is dense and creamy-white with small petals. The flower is 10-20 centimetres (4-8 inches) long.

The Manna Ash blooms in spring. 

The fruit is a slender samara about 1-3 centimetres (quarter of an inch to one inch) long.
